Long/Short Ratio

Longs dominate (ratio > 1)
Shorts dominate (ratio < 1)
Price (USD)

Explanation

Analytics

The Long/Short Ratio shows how futures traders on Binance are positioned: the share of accounts betting on price going up (long) against down (short). Above 1 means more accounts are long; below 1, more are short. Every long is matched by a short, so for Retail (all accounts) and Whale Account (the top traders, one per account) the ratio counts traders, not money: 1.5 means roughly 60% of accounts are long, not that longs hold more capital. Whale Position instead splits the top traders' position size, so 1.5 there means about 60% of their positions by size are long. The table compares the latest reading on Binance, OKX and Bybit. It's a read on crowding rather than a forecast: a stretched ratio can persist through a strong trend.

Quick Tip

Compare the trader types: when Retail and Whale Position lean opposite ways, positioning is split.
