The Real Rainbow

The Bitcoin Rainbow Chart has a new name, and a rebuilt chart behind it.

What changed

• A new name: The Real Rainbow. Same place in the menu and the same link, so your favourites still work.
• Bands we fit ourselves. A trend is refit every day through Bitcoin's whole price history, framed by nine coloured bands from Fire Sale to Maximum Bubble Territory. Each band is a measured percentile of that history.
• One source for everything. The price line and the current value now come from the same data, so the badge no longer disagrees with the line.
• Two years ahead. The bands and the trend run two years past today. It's the trend extended, not a forecast.
• Zooming works. The price scale follows the window you're looking at, so zooming in no longer flattens the colours.

How to use it

Look at which colour band Bitcoin sits in. It shows where today's price stands compared with its own history. It's context, not a signal.
