Gaussian Channel Trend Zones
Bitcoin (BTC)Explanation
AnalyticsThis chart runs weekly Bitcoin through a 4-pole Ehlers Gaussian filter (period 144), a very smooth moving average, with bands at ±1.414 times the filtered weekly range. Whenever the filter turns down, that stretch is shaded green as a falling-filter zone: a description of trend direction, not a signal to act. The table lists each completed zone with its length, the average weekly close inside it, the highest weekly high before the next zone began (a hindsight maximum, not a return) and the deepest dip against that average. A 0–100% risk reading shows how far price is stretched above the filter compared with all prior weekly history. Only a handful of zones have completed since 2009, so the numbers describe what happened, not what has to happen next.
Weekly Bitcoin through a very smooth Gaussian filter: the zones where the filter falls, what happened around them in earlier cycles, and a 0–100 risk level.
